Omachi is the eastern gateway to the Alpine Route in Nagano Prefecture. Buses run to the entrance of the Alpine Route from Shinano Omachi Station, where tickets for the Alipine Route can be purchased.

Access to Ogisawa Station

Omachi is the closest transport hub to Ogisawa Station, the eastern entrance to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. From Ogisawa, the route connects to Tateyama Station on the west side.

Access from Shinano Omachi Station to Ogisawa Station

Take a local bus or taxi from Shinano Omachi Station to Ogisawa Station.
The local bus stops at Omachi Onsenkyo and Hinatayama Kogen (highlands) on its way, so it is also convenient for those planning to stay in accommodation at these locations before visiting the Alpine Route.

※The shuttle bus runs through Omachi Onsenkyo and Hinatayama Kogen (highlands). However, tickets between Ogisawa and Shinano Omachi do not allow stopovers. At Omachi Onsenkyo, tickets are sold by staff at the bus stop. If a staff member cannot be found, please pay the driver upon getting off the bus.

From the boarding point ③, it takes 40 minutes to reach Ogisawa Station (terminal station), which is the entry point to the Alpine Route.

Access from Omachi Onsenkyo/Hinatayama Highlands to Ogisawa Station

Omachi Onsenkyo and Hinatayama Highlands are located on the road connecting downtown Omachi and Ogisawa Station, and local buses on this route stop at these places. They are convenient accommodation sites for sightseeing on the Alpine Route.
