Shin’ya Nishimaru Memorial Hall

A collection of materials relating to the activities of the climber, explorer, and food ecologist, Shin’ya Nishimaru. Exhibits include a collection focused on the tribes of Papua New Guinea and rare butterfly specimens, in addition to photos and paintings related to climbing and exploring.

Omachi Energy Museum

The museum offers a fun learning experience on various forms of energy from hydro-electric to solar power. There is also a planetarium.

Exhibitions of collections focused on painting are held roughly every 3 months. You can also enjoy our menu of foods prepared with local ingredients such as fresh handmade pasta and homemade smoked cheese.

Omachi Dam Information Center

Explanations of the role of the dam and the surrounding natural environment on easily understood panels and computer displays. Information on walking trails around Lake Ryujin (Dragon God) and the surrounding area is also available.
